If you’re traveling from I-64, Chandler Hill would be the first winery located on the trail, just off highway 94 on Defiance Road. As you follow the road to the winery, you see it beautiful charm from the distance as you pass by well cared for vineyards. Somewhat unique from other wineries on the trail, Chandler Hill offers a selection of the very finest wines from both "West Coast" varieties and Missouri. The California varieties come from their vineyards on the sunny slopes of Napa Valley and the legendary Central Coast. All of their grapes are grown to perfection in vineyards with just the right amount of sun, cool breezes, ample moisture and plenty of attention. Then, each is hand selected by our vintners assuring you of the very finest possible varietals. The elegant 5,000-square foot tasting room and winery includes relaxing chairs, tables and couches, large fireplace, superb sandwiches, meats, cheeses and wine gift store. The 4,500-square foot wine deck, visitors will enjoy the spectacular view of the wildlife-laden Missouri valley, vineyards and refreshing lake. Visitors can tour the winemaking facility to see how their special vintages are harvested, produced and aged.
