West Virginia’s wine industry has made a lot of progress in recent years. Today, the state is home to around a dozen wineries, all of which provide visitors with tours and wine-tasting so as to further educate and create awareness around wine in West Virginia. Although the state is too cold to host some of the grape varieties growing in other Southern states, many French-American hybrids grow well here, as well as the Concord, Delaware and Niagara grapes.
