Located just inside the historic town of Hermann is Hermannhof Winery, with beautifully maintained vineyards located just outside of town producing over 46,000 gallons of wine each year. Hermannhof Winery produces a full selection of wines from sweet to dry. White Lady, a German-style wine is their flagship wine. Hermannhof Winery is the first, two-time winner of "Best New World White Wine". The winery's grape-arbor covered patio provides cool shade on hot summer days, and the fireplace beckons guests to enjoy a picnic indoors during the winter months. Hermannhof offers a wide selection of locally-made sausages and cheese, fresh-baked bread, and brats with kraut. When the temperatures drop, there's often a pot of soup simmering. A full line of wine-related items are available for sale.
The winery also provides you the opportunity to extend your time with them, with historic cottages built in the 1800's with 20th century luxury. These cottages are part of earlier wineries and rebuilt on the east hill behind the winery. The Inn at Hermannhof offers eight spacious suites with beautifully crafted reproductions of Early American masterpieces and marble bathrooms with whirlpool tubs. For weekend get-a-ways and romantic adventures be sure to check out Hermannhof Winery.
