Celebrate the Indiana Uplands American Viticulture Area!
Grab a bottle tonight of your favorite Indiana Upland wine and raise a glass and salute to give great cheer to the new Indiana Uplands American Viticulture Area!  Something many of us have recognized for many years is now a reality.  The Indiana Uplands area is now considered one of the premier areas in the United States to grow grapes for making fabulous wines.  Wines contain upwards of 1500 natural chemical compounds so where grapes are grown really matters, and in France, they have long recognized that certain areas of the country, such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, can grow much better grapes for making wine than other areas.  In the US, we have long considered Napa Valley and Sonoma County in California, the Finger Lakes of New York, the Columbia Valley of Washington, to be distinct areas that grow the best grapes.  Now, the southern Indiana areas of the Norman Upland Plateau and the Knobstone Escarpment are now considered as premier grape growing areas.  Cheers to what us grape growers and you the customers have always known, and now the world knows:  the Indiana Uplands is now on par with the best of the best.  Try our delicious Indiana Uplands grown wines today at any of our Indiana Uplands Wine Trail member wineries!
