The Yellow Farmhouse Winery is situated on Highway 94 right on the dog leg curve in Defiance, Missouri. With its bright yellow paint and having to slow down for the curve, you can't miss this unique winery. It's the only one on the trail that isn't open year round. In April the winery celebrates the coming of spring with its ever-popular barrel tasting weekend. The Tasting Room is open noon until 5pm on weekends (Friday - Sunday) - spring throughout fall. There's plenty of room to enjoy handcrafted wines inside the Tasting Room, under the roof of the airy Events Pavilion, or on Picnic Hill in one of the comfortable Adirondack chairs. The view overlooking the Missouri River Valley is spectacular. Here you can truly enjoy a laid-back afternoon. Bring along a picnic lunch, pick-up a bottle of wine at the Tasting Room, and head up the hill for a restful getaway complete with easy listening, live music entertainment. We also do private parties and outdoor events in our pavilion for 80+ persons.
